Holy Week and Easter - 2025
The rich tradition of worship, remembering the final week of Jesus’ earthly ministry, draws us together for many opportunities. Come experience them at Trinity and St. Francis.
It begins with a triumphant entry and a preview of where the story goes.
Palm Sunday - April 13
Holy Week begins during our regular worship time of 9:30AM, this year at Trinity Memorial in Warren. Rev. Joann Piatko will be joining us to bless palms and do Holy Eucharist The service begins with a blessing palm branches that worshippers take home to keep in a prayerful spot.
There is not resurrection without this
Good Friday - April 18
At 7:00PM at Trinity Memorial in Warren, we follow our Prayer Book as it guides us in remembering what Jesus did and giving glory to God. Stark, quiet, and yet holy and beautiful, the journey of the soul is nourished by our Lord’s example. Rev. Tony Pompa will be jointing us to lead the service and for Holy Eucharist.
Sorrow meets joy in the holy mystery of the night
The Great Vigil of Easter -April 19
Unfortunately this year we will NOT be gathering for the Great Vigil of Easter.
Here is some information on how the service has gone in the past.
Saturday night of Easter weekend invites the faithful to gather for what many find to be the most powerful worship service of the church year. Beginning in the dark with several scripture readings, we retell the story of creation, covenant, and faith. Taking time to remember our baptism, we then light lights, ring bells, and sing the praises of God who in this night worked the miracle of resurrection. It’s the first actual celebration of Easter!
Hallelujah! He is Risen!

The week ends where we begin each week: celebrating the Lord’s resurrection on Sunday! Gather for Holy Eucharist, prayer, and joy:
